On August 26, 1966 Jacob L. Hurtt started Hurtt Fabricating Corp at the offices of Chaney Fence Corporation in Florissant, Missouri. In June of 1967 HFC purchased the old Sinclair Pumping Station south of Marceline and began renovation work to turn it into a modern fabrication facility.

The company grew in 1980 when a 31,500 SF production/warehouse facility was added, more than doubling the capacity of the company. HFC grew again in 1996 by adding a 3,400 SF paint building to provide enclosed industrial painting.

HFC has around 70 employees NACE with AWS certified inspectors and welders. HFC provides company owned semi tractor-trailers to guarantee timely deliveries. HFC's annual sales average $10,000,000 to $15,000,000. As the demands in the industry change, HFC is committed to meet these new challenges.
